London Workshop Series
Our London Workshop Series is designed to support Pilates teachers, movement professionals and dedicated practitioners who want to continue developing their understanding of the Pilates method.
Led by James Shaw, these workshops explore a range of topics including teaching skills, cueing, reading the body, classical Pilates concepts, programme design and understanding how the Pilates system works as a whole.
Whether you’re newly qualified or an experienced teacher, these workshops provide an opportunity to deepen your knowledge, refine your teaching and connect with a community of like-minded professionals committed to ongoing learning and development.
Each workshop is practical, mentorship-led and designed to give you tools that you can immediately apply to your own practice and teaching.
The Power of Touch - Hands On Cueing Workshop
Learn how to use tactile cueing effectively alongside verbal cueing to enhance your clients’ experience and understanding.
This workshop explores how we can use touch with intention looking at push, pull and energy through the hands to support the body and help clients better understand the work.
We’ll explore purposeful hands on cueing across the Mat and Reformer, how to support without over correcting, and when touch can communicate something more clearly than words. The aim is to leave you feeling more confident using your hands as part of your teaching and knowing when a verbal cue may be the better choice.
Reading the Body & The Art of Cueing
Learn how to better observe movement, identify compensations and choose cues that create meaningful change in your clients.
This workshop is about learning to really see the body in front of you understanding what you’re looking at, what needs your attention and, importantly, what doesn’t.
We’ll explore what to cue, when to cue and how to choose the right words for the person in front of you. Rather than simply giving more corrections, the focus is on using the right cue at the right time to create greater understanding, connection and change within the work.
